Ahlu Suna declares Sunday as the first day of Eid-Ul-Adha
The administration of Ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a in Central Somalia has declared Sunday 5th October as the first of Eid-Al-Adha contrary to the crowds of Somali people observing the day in Somalia.
In a meeting in Guriel district, Ahlu suna officials announced that Saturday the fourth of October is not exact date of Eid Al-Adha.
Last year too, the administration of ahlu Suna Wal Jama’a did the same thing and the resident observed Eid Al-adha the second day.
The ministry of religious affairs of federal government of Somalia has on Friday declared that Saturday, the fourth of October as the first day of Eid al-Adha and urged the public to assist one another.
Ahlu Suna remarks comes a time when thousands of Muslim pilgrims who were standing mount Arafa yesterday and non-pilgrims who were fasting are observing the great wit joy.
