Ahlu-Sunna Officially Opens State Formation Conference In Dhusa-Mareb
Somali Moderate Islamist group, Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a has officially declared that it has opened Somali central state formation conference as it will be parallel to the government spearheaded conference in Adado which process of Galmudug State is underway.
However, acting chairperson of executive committee of Ahlu-Sunna, Sheikh Mohamed Shakir speaking at the Preliminary of the conference, said that they are waiting more delegates turn up soon as he called upon people of Central regions to attend the conference.
Among those attending the conference are delegates from Himan and Heb State led by its interior minister.
This comes at a time when Adado is hosting second phase state formation conference which officially opened by Somali prime minister, Omar Abdirashid last month.
Delegates in Adado have already endorsed provisional regional charter and selected regional MPs for the state.
On 10th this month, Somali moderate Islamist group, declared that its delegates would vacate the conference within 24 hours.
Speaking to Goobjoog News, its leader Sheikh Ibrahim Gurre, who was among the signatories to Somali central State formation conference put blame on Somali minister for internal affairs, Abdirahman Odawaa.
“The internal minister is a naive young boy who is new in the political arena so i have no answer for him” he said.
He added that they do not recognize the government “this government is not representing us”
