The long-waited Consultation conference between the federal government and regional states has kicked off on Saturday afternoon at Villa Somalia.
Leaders of the country’s regional administrations and International dignitaries who reached the capital city hours ago are attending consultative conference to establish the roadmap for the 2016 elections.
Somali federal government has also invited representatives from all walks of civil society groups to present their views on the consultative meeting, with the aim to achieve the Vision 2016.
This development comes two days after Interim Jubba Administration declared that it will host the consultative conference next week in Kismayo to establish the roadmap for the 2016 elections despite earlier reports it would be held in Mogadishu.
The second vice president of IJA, Abdikadir Hajji Mohamed said that Jubbaland will host consultative national conference which will be attended by leaders of Somali government and federal states.
“The conference to discuss the country’s future will take place from 19th to 21st this month in the administrative capital of Jubbaland, Kismayo town” said Hajji.
