French Aid Workers Kidnapped in Gedo

Reports from Gedo indicate that four French nationals who are aid workers were on Sunday kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be Alshabab.

Sahal Moalim Isse is the deputy commissioner of Elwak district where the foreigners were snatched told Goobjoog that he received information that the hostages were taken to Bardhere controlled by Alshabab.

They were abducted while traveling in a car between Garilley and Fafahdhun, these locations fall within the district of Elwak.
We have yet to establish the aid agency they were working with.

This a came at a time when such kidnappings for aid workers has discontinue for years.
