Hodan District Commissioner deliberately killed-probe team

Former Hodan District Commissioner Abdihakin Dhegajun was deliberately killed by police during a shooting incident in February, an investigating team has revealed.

Armed Forces prosecutor General Abdullahi Kamey told journalists that the team has concluded its investigations and established the district official’s killing was preplanned.

“A commission of inquiry which was set up has concluded its work and established that this was deliberate killing,” said Kamey.

He added that the the file will now proceed to court where charges will be pursued against the police officers involved.

Dhegajun was killed in February after his car was sprayed with bullets at about 1am on the fateful day.
