Jubbaland bans TV station for allegedly airing propaganda

Interim Jubba Administration has banned one of the Somali private owned channels Universal TV from its territories.

The U.K-based private broadcaster Universal TV was shut down in connection with its alleged critical coverage of IJA administration according to to an administration official Abdinoor.

“IJA Administration has banned the TV station because of its custom of transmitting propaganda and airing exaggerated stories,” said Abdinoor.
The Administration has consequently, ordered the closure of all offices of the station in Jubbaland and suspended their operations until further notice.
