Senior Al-Shabaab Leader Killed in Mudug Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | JOWLE: A senior Al-Shabaab leader has been killed in a Somali National Army (SNA) operation backed by local forces in the Jowle area of Mudug Region.

According to reports, the militant leader, identified as Abdullahi Said Bulhiye, was responsible for the group’s activities in Jowle. Ten other militants, believed to be his bodyguards, were also killed during the operation.

The Somali National Army has stated that it will intensify operations in the region in coordination with local forces to eliminate security threats posed by Al-Shabaab and restore peace and stability.

The ongoing offensive against Al-Shabaab in rural areas surrounding Jowle aims to weaken the group’s presence and disrupt its activities in the region.
