Soldiers killed in blast after Shabaab militants rigged dead soldier’s body with explosives

At least six people were killed among them Somali army personnel in a suicide bomb attack in Goofgaduud in Bay region.

Sources in the area said the militant group Al-Shabaab rigged bodies of soldiers killed on Sunday with explosives to target other soldiers who had come to bury them.

The soldiers had earlier engaged in a fierce fight with the militants before they called for reinforcements. Upon return to bury some of their colleagues, a source in the area said, the explosives went off killed two soldiers.
Two of the soldiers were identified as Buurey Ali and base commander Hassan Bakah in addition to four others soldiers while five others were injured.
