Somali Legislators Vow to Defend Nation against Ethiopia’s Aggression

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: A section of Federal Republic of Somalia MPs and Senators together with leaders from Adwal region have vowed to combine efforts in opposing Ethiopia’s attempts to undermine Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.  

Speaking during a meeting chaired by Interior, Federal and Reconciliation minister Ahmed Macallin Fiqi in Mogadishu, the leaders reiterated their stance that Somalia should not negotiate on any deal that does not enhance the unity of the Somali people.  

Minister Fiqi thanked the people of Awdal in the country and abroad for their patriotism and love for the land and their commitment to support the Federal Government in defending the country’s borders.

He promised the leaders that the Federal Government was capable of handling the conflict through diplomatic means.
