Unknown assailants shot dead Marka intelligence commander

Reports from Marka district, the headquarters of Lower Shabelle region states that armed men have shot dead the commander of national intelligence and security agency of Marka district.

Local people who witnessed the incident told Goobjoog FM that men armed with pistols killed the commander and disappeared before the security agencies reached the scene.

The forces launched security crackdown to maintain security and pursue the perpetrators in all the villages of Marka district, unspecified number of people mostly youth were arrested in connections with the murder during the operations.

The situation of Marka district is now stable as business activities and public transport returned to Normal.
